My husband, Russ, and 11 year old daughter, Jamie are very excited and supportive of my desire to share my knowledge and home with your children. For the little ones especially, preschools in a home environment have been shown to be just as beneficial educationally as preschool centers and in some cases more beneficial for their emotional health. Our goal at Eagle's Wings is to create an environment that will foster in each child a healthy sense of self while teaching them skills essential for their success in Kindergarten and beyond.
Mary Wright, Teacher As an early childcare educator, I strive to provide great childcare. My passion for children came at an early age and has continued to grow ever since. I came to Eagle's Wings from the University of Washington Day Care Center. I have a BA in Educational Studies and many supplemental childhood education classes. I possess rudimentary American Sign Language skills and am working to implement that into our preschool program by teaching the children to sign the alphabet and numbers as well as a few words and songs. I am enjoying getting to know each child and working to meet their needs.

After spending many years as a Research Coordinator at the University of Washington, I have decided to turn my focus to Early Childhood Education. Recent research has shown that quality care and education that enhance a child's development and learning in the early years has a profound effect on the success of the child in many areas throughout life including academia. My decision to open a preschool came from my desire to be part of this early process of supporting children as they grow and prosper and have tons of fun doing it!
